Every year, Paris is the scene of many sporting events eagerly anticipated by enthusiasts. At the forefront of these is the Paris Marathon, scheduled this year for April 14th. Pack your most comfortable running shoes and book your room at the Hotel d'Angleterre.

The Parisian streets and the runners are ready for the next Paris Marathon to rock the asphalt. Hosted by the world’s most beautiful city every year, this unique long-distance race celebrates its 43rd anniversary in 2019 with as much enthusiasm and excitement as ever!
Each year, numerous participants from all over the world take up the daunting challenge of running the 42.195 km route and being the first to cross the finish line. Or, they hope to at least finish the course! Every year, around 55,000 runners from some 145 nations sign up for this legendary race. Some come to compete against the best and get on the podium, while others simply want to test their endurance and willpower and leave with a nice t-shirt and some souvenirs!
To do better than the Kenyans, who reign supreme in this event in both the men’s and women’s races, and to beat the record of two hours to complete the course are the dreams of many of the top competitors...
At the Paris Marathon spectators have fun, too!
The Paris Marathon is also a great opportunity to have fun for those who are not up to the challenge of taking part. Entertainment is planned all along the course, which begins on the Champs-Élysées before heading in the direction of the hilly Bois de Vincennes and Bois de Boulogne before a return to the heart of the city, passing Notre Dame Cathedral and the Eiffel Tower. Mini-concerts, snack booths and activity stands await young and old in a festive atmosphere.
