Experience a White Night in Paris this year!
Since 2002, the first Saturday in October has honoured contemporary artistic creation in all its forms. A major cultural event throughout Paris, the Nuit Blanche (White Night) takes place in the capital’s major public squares and prestigious historic monuments.
The Nuit Blanche 2019
From 19:00 on Saturday, October 5th until 07:00 the following Sunday morning, the Nuit Blanche offers you the opportunity to experience extraordinary artistic happenings. An event that’s free and open to all, with artistic direction provided by Didier Fusillier, the Nuit Blanche invites artists, cyclists and the general public to circulate throughout Paris. Every year, this famous celebration of art and culture attracts more than a million Parisians and visitors to the City of Light. This year, for the first time, the event will overflow the city and spread to several of its suburbs.
A celebration of arts and sport
The Parade 2019, a festive aspect of the Nuit Blanche, promises to be just as spectacular as it is fun. This year there will be around fifteen creative floats designed by contemporary artists. Expect to be dazzled by this mobile exhibition comprising gigantic and surprising works, along with marching bands, dancers and other performers. The city’s Périphérique ring road will be transformed into a vast velodrome for the occasion. You’ll see bicycles decorated with phosphorescent accessories illuminating the streets of Paris. The most athletic participants will cross Paris at speed while still hopefully having time to admire the city’s glorious monuments. The Paris Philharmonic Orchestra and the Ladoumègue sports centre will add their contributions to the festive atmosphere of this immensely popular arts evening.
Located in the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, on the Left Bank, the Hotel d'Angleterre offers the ideal accommodation to ensure you don’t miss the various activities of the Parisian Nuit Blanche.
